Hydro-Aerodynamics of a Turbulizer Corrector Two-Phase Spray Face

EasyChair Preprint 5004

6 pagesDate: February 22, 2021

Abstract

This article explores the hydro- and aerodynamic forces acting on a thin layer of fluid that erupts from a turbulent rectifier ring loop developed by the authors. The stages of the decomposition process of a two-phase (air + droplet) torch in which large droplets are formed in this technological process, the physical nature of the Weber number in this process, and the probabilistic nature of highly dispersed droplets are thoroughly covered. This work presents the results of laboratory and field tests. The developed turbulizer can be widely used not only in agriculture, but also in the processing of chemical and petroleum products, food and other industries. The results of the study show that the size (median-mass diameters) of the liquid defoliant droplets formed satisfy Gauss's (normal) distribution law. The ability of the working fluid to be decomposed by solvents is assessed by increasing the Weber number  (10≤ Wekr ≤ 105). The Weber number for conventional OBX-600 fan sprayers was found to be We = 42, and for the proposed turbulizer fans, it was found to be We = 85 during the splitting of the two-phase spray torch. The additional working hypothesis adopted proved correct.
