The Use of Augmented Reality as a University Teaching Strategy in Health Sciences Programmes: a Scoping Review

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is a promising technology in the educational field, especially in university teaching in health programs, allowing students to build their own learning in an interactive, motivating and challenging way. The purpose of this systematic review of the literature is to identify, analyze and synthesize the findings found in the last 10 years regarding the issue of RA in academic health programs and to know the impact it has on students' learning. At the methodological level, the databases Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science and Science Direct were consulted, inclusion and exclusion criteria were established for the selection of the most relevant articles, methodological quality and relevance were analyzed.
