Many researchers have provided a wide range of professional learning activities employed in several Western and Asian societies. This case study used a variety of qualitative data sources to identify typical activities used to promote TPD in one university in Central Vietnam in a time of current educational reforms. Ten activities of TPD are utilised in this study including both externally-offered and school-based ones. These activities are specifically described and also linked to the typical features of the socio-economic, cultural and political context of Vietnam.
