The reduction of schools could contribute to better management. Unfortunately, any change in the operation of the system generates strong resistance to change when it comes to closing schools. We present a bi-objective model that simultaneously seeks to reduce the total cost of the education system and minimize the number of students displaced from schools that must be closed.
