Abstract

This study examines the impact of immigration inflows on economic growth and innovation within knowledge-intensive sectors across OECD countries. The research adopts a comparative approach, analyzing how different levels and compositions of immigrant populations influence these outcomes in various national contexts. By focusing on knowledge-intensive industries—where skills, creativity, and innovation are paramount—the study provides insights into the extent to which immigration serves as a catalyst for economic dynamism and technological advancement. The findings reveal that countries with more open and strategically managed immigration policies tend to experience significant boosts in productivity and innovation, particularly in sectors that rely heavily on specialized knowledge and international collaboration.
