The National Symposium for Applied Biological Sciences (NSABS 2022) is jointly organized by University of Antwerp, Ghent University, KULeuven, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve) Université de Liège (Gembloux), VUB and Université de Mons. It presents a snapshot of the broad variety of research in the field of applied biological sciences and bioengineering. The symposium is free of charge and particularly encourages junior researchers, such as PhD students, to present their work and meet and exchange ideas across departments and across universities. Besides, it is an opportunity for young researchers to submit their work to the critical comments and questions from an attentive audience, and thus to improve the quality of their own research.
The full-day symposium will encompass a wide variety of research topics in applied biological sciences, and particularly encourages PhD students to present their work, meet and exchange ideas across researchers and institutions. It is an opportunity to present your research to a broad audience (for starting PhD students perhaps for a first time). Questions from the audience and feedback on oral presentations can help to improve your research. Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations. This symposium also offers the opportunity for networking among colleagues.
