MEC is a triennial symposium that is of special interest to those who work in the field of upper limb prosthetics and myoelectric controls. As in previous years, MEC24 will be hosted by the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, a research institute recognized worldwide for its pioneering work in myoelectric controls. MEC24 will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick, August 12-15, 2024. Pre-conference events will be held on Sunday, August 11th.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Corry Van der Sluis, Professor of Rehab Medicine at the University of Groningen and Dr. Helen Huang, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at University of North Carolina & North Carolina State University.
MEC24 is now accepting submissions. Please note the following:
- All papers will be peer-reviewed. Corresponding authors must be willing to review at least two other papers (or designate another in their place).
- We are using an online submission system, which will aid us in organizing, reviewing, and publishing accepted manuscripts.
- All submissions are due March 8, 2024. As we are using a peer-review process, we do not anticipate extending the deadline.
- MEC24 will be held at the Fredericton Convention Centre in beautiful downtown Fredericton. The Hilton Garden Inn is conveniently connected to the conference site.
