FCW26 (Future Computing Workshop 2026) is a two-day event organized by HLRS in Stuttgart, bringing together researchers, architects, and developers from academia, industry, and national labs to discuss the future of high-performance computing (HPC). With traditional scaling laws plateauing, the workshop focuses on emerging paradigms and heterogeneous architectures such as accelerators, photonic, neuromorphic, and other technologies. Its goal is to bridge gaps between hardware vendors, software developers, computer and domain-specific scientists, fostering collaboration and exploring medium-term scenarios for advancing HPC.

Submission Guidelines

The Future Computing Workshop does not feature afull peer review and proceedings, because we intend theworkshop to offer a platform for exchange on a for-mal and informal level. Furthermore, we accept properlyprepared slides and a voluntary submission of a corre-sponding workshop paper of up to 8 pages. We aim tofoster discussion and collaboration, even for ideas thatstill need to evolve. However, we also want to ensure awell-balanced and high-quality contribution set. There-fore, we will evaluate all submissions.
