About the Conference
ChatMED 2024 aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge Generative AI research and practical healthcare applications in the Widening countries. This conference will focus on evaluating and advancing the state-of-the-art in Large Language Models (LLMs) and their potential to transform healthcare through robust, ethical, and effective applications.
Conference Themes
We invite interdisciplinary submissions related to the development, assessment, and application of generative AI within the healthcare sector, including but not limited to: Advances in LLMs for Healthcare ∙ Ethical Implications and Governance of AI in Medicine ∙ Multimodal AI Systems for Comprehensive Healthcare Solutions ∙ AI Applications in Diagnostics, Treatment, and Patient Management ∙ Evaluating AI's Impact on Public Health Policies ∙ Integrative AI Solutions for Personalized Medicine
Submissions
Researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals are encouraged to submit original research papers, case studies, and review articles that provide insights into the current capabilities and future directions of AI in healthcare. Submissions should be accessible to a broad scientific audience and must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Length: Papers should not exceed 6 pages, including references.
- Language: Submissions must be in English.
- Format: Please follow the template and submission guidelines on the conference submission portal.

Publication
Accepted papers will be published in the Information Society 2024 Conference Proceedings. Selected papers will also be considered for a special issue of a reputable Informatica journal, subject to further peer review.
Conference Event
The ChatMED 2024 conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both physical attendance and virtual participation. The conference will feature:
- Keynote presentations by leading experts in AI and healthcare.
- Panel discussions on the Challenges and Opportunities of Implementing AI Solutions in Medical Settings.
- Interactive sessions for demonstrations of AI Technologies in Healthcare.
- Panel discussion on Ethical AI Use in Healthcare: A discussion with ethicists, practitioners, and policymakers on navigating the ethical challenges of AI in healthcare.
- Workshop on Data Privacy and Security in AI Applications: A technical workshop addressing the critical aspects of data management in healthcare AI.
Presentations will be organized in sections according to the presentation topic and language. In principle, the presentations will be in the same language as the published contribution. The official languages of the conference are Slovenian and English.
Program Committee
The Program Committee comprises renowned scholars and industry leaders with diverse expertise in Artificial Intelligence, medicine, and ethics. The committee is chaired by Dr. Jane Doe (co-chair) and Dr. John Smith (co-chair).
